So there I was in the Belmont section of the Bronx yesterday, having already had a late lunch on Arthur Ave. and about a block down 187th I see this, an Albanian restaurant with a fancy awning and an open facade with tables spilling onto the sidewalk, decorated in rustic-modern, with tables of guys eating bean stews and beautiful-looking plates of grilled sausages.
Alas, I wasn't up for any more eating, least of all bean stews and sausages. But can it be? An Albanian restaurant--not just a burek bakery--out in the open, without an "Albanians" (natch, "members")-only policy? Has a threshold been crossed?
