Dinner at Yoyo tonight was superb and further enhanced by the skillful waitstaff. I brought a bottle of 1955 Chambolle Musigny and our waiter, Phillippe, through dint of careful work with the opener was able to get the cork out in two big chunks. Usually with wines that old the cork dissolves. After a breathing period, the wine was great -- even Phillippe thought so. He also said it was the oldest wine to make an appearance at Yoyo, by 6 years. I had the escargot and the bison (rare and chewy but not tough); my guests ordered rack of lamb and filet mignon. Everyone was very pleased.
Yoyo is one of the best BYOB places I've been to -- on a level with Laboratorio di Galileo in DC.
I looked around for S. Dion but couldn't spot him. He's probably still in Alberta, organizing the crucial francophone vote there.
