Had a good dinner at Gjelina last night, big group, my teen daughter and I were the only Vegans. Some kind of broiled cauliflower, grilled radicchio, some sort of broccoli rabe, pomodoro pizza, bean stew. It was all completely amazing.
The meal made me realize I need to look for some new West LA vegan friendly eats. I don't often eat at strictly v. places, because only 2/5 of the family eats that way. We can do Blue Plate, Real Food Daily, most sushi places, some Sawtelle curry/soon tofu places. Falafel. Ramen is usually too porky. Mexican food is usually too meaty/cheesy, aside from the beans. Swingers works. Veggie Grill works, but I'm not a big fan of fake meats.
Anyone else out there who likes to eat at "regular" restaurants have any ideas? Thanks!
