Restaurants having tough time finding workers...

Here in the New York metro area, I have heard the same complaint from a number of restaurant owners in recent weeks: can't find any help! Now that Covid protocols are being relaxed, restaurants are hiring again, but the going is tough. The reasons vary. Some are saying restaurant workers are staying home and doing fine with their unemployment checks and supplementary payments, while they last. Others say, the pandemic caused many workers to just leave the restaurant industry for other lines of work with benefits. How is it where you are? What is your theory?
