I've read through the recent threads and have come up with a list, but want to run it by you all. We'll be in Mexico City for ten days in June, 5 adults and 1 16 year old, staying in the Centro Historico. Arriving on a Friday afternoon, thinking of Azul Historico for dinner--walk-in possible? I have reservations for both Quintonil and Dulce Patria for comida, and Pujol at the taco bar for an early dinner (all different days). Would like to go to Pasillo de Humo, Contramar, Yuban, Fonda Fina--are those pretty okay for early-ish walk-ins (either comida or dinner)? While I like to plan my sight-seeing around restaurants, some of those I will be traveling with want to be more flexible. If we're near San Angel Inn one day, is the recommendation still for drinks and snacks, not a big meal? Also, with the 16-year old, is the bar still okay at Pujol? I see it includes beer and cocktail with the tasting menu (I assume this can be worked around).
