Restaurant Week: Aquavit

JR | Feb 2, 200212:00 AM     8

Had lunch there this past week. The food was excellent--had cauliflower soup, strip steak as an entree and "artic circle" for dessert. However, though the steak WAS good, it came out undercooked twice. Too rare the first time, sent it back, and came out maybe a tad more cooked. Probably flashed it under a hot lamp. And overall, the service was just HORRIBLE for such a highly rated restaurant. After the entrees were cleared, the bread and butter plates, bread basket, and butter were left on the table, even after dessert was served! The waiters even shifted the plates and basket around to accommodate our desserts as if I was going to eat my roll together with my dessert! Coffee and tea weren't even offered to us until I thought to order some halfway through my dessert, and then found out when I got the check that indeed the prix fixe meal did include those beverages.

I wonder if the shoddy service is a perk only offered during Restaurant Week?
