I've only recently moved to the Philadelphia area, and don't know too many people locally as yet. This restaurant week thing intrigues me, though, and my budget might allow for the trying of two places. I'm not shy about dining alone, but was wondering is it really unusual to see a single diner out there during restaurant week? Will places take a reservation for one, or must I take a shot and just go and hope to be seated (I am not shy of or bothered by dining at the bar is that is necessitated.) Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. I work in the city and commute on Regional Rail, so I'd be wanting an earlier reservation rather than training home and then driving back later, if that makes a difference.
