I got an email today from a friend who as of a few months ago is a top advisor to the Prime Minister of a European country. A medium sized one. It's very nice (I've been there and hope to go back). You'd like it. He said "I am traveling with the PM next week to New York for the UN General Assembly. He loves to go out to dinner to smart trendy restaurants (which does not mean glitzy and wildly expensive ones). Can you think of something? It makes all the difference to have with me a sated happy prime minister or a cross one disappointed with Manhattan's restaurant fare."
I certainly can't offer him anything with confidence so here's your chance to hold forth as NYC culinary ambassador and rebuild the cultural infrastructure that Trump & Tilly have rent asunder. I have a feeling he won't venture out of Manhattan (or if so only to coastal Brooklyn). The fun starts on Tuesday so please don't hold back. Eager for your thoughts.
