restaurant recommendaiton needed for tonight

Jupiter | Feb 28, 200312:30 PM     8

Hi all,
My dad and step mom are in town and they just got back form big sur last night and decided they wanted to eat out tonight (friday night in SF, not so easy) and to make matters worse there will be 6 of us, and on top of that the only guidlines i have been given is "something ethnic" and they they suggested Slanted door, and i turned in to a snooty reservationist and burst out laughing.....

so with those thoughts in mind, does anyone have any suggestions? it is their last night, so i would like the food to be good...i was wondering if Jasmine house might fit the bill? otherwise i will probably just take them to La Vie if i can't come up with anything else.
Although, now that i think about it, maybe i will give Alma a call.....
