Restaurant Reactions To Food

frenchie22 | Sep 18, 201811:58 AM     3

Please remember to note your environment. Are you eating from a buffet? How long has that food been sitting out? Dairy based dressings and sauces DO NOT do well unrefrigerated for longer than 5 minutes. Do workers pick up spilled food on the display and put it back in the container for diners to eat? Are the temperatures of the food the same as if you were serving it as home? This is a big tip-off that your illness begins at the restaurant. Are the workers cleaning surfaces with the same cloth for each area? Using the same cloth to wipe each table, seating and food display areas? Is there any central air/heating ducts located near the food that you're eating? Are the workers wearing clean gloves and ESPECIALLY CLEAN uniforms? Check your table and silverware for any minute remnants of food. The restaurant has soooo many sources of bacteria, keep a diary of which restaurant, entree, restaurant cleanliness and time of day you experienced a bad reaction and you may very well see a pattern to show you which restaurants to avoid.
