My husband and I had lunch in a wonderful little restaurant in Old Montreal last year, and I can't remember the name of it! I'd like to get a gift certificate for my father, who is planning a trip to Montreal next month.
It was in the heart of Old Montreal, on St. Paul I believe, and you had to go down a staircase to get to the dining area. The far end of the cozy dining room faced the water. It was in a very old building, and the restaurant was all stone walls with beamed ceilings and a very rustic feel. We had amazing lentil soup, black forest ham and swiss cheese sandwiches, and a wonderful wine. The service was excellent, and we remember it fondly.
Does anyone have any idea where we were? I'd be so grateful if someone can come up with the name for me!
