If you are having trouble finding a restaurant on the San Francisco Department of Health web site (www.dph.sf.ca.us/ehs), I discovered that any restaurant that begins with the word "the" is listed alphabetically under the letter "T." So, if you are looking for Slanted Door, for example, you have to type in "the slanted door" or you won't find it.
BTW, there are no violations listed for The Slanted Door.
Unfortunately, there is no way to search by number or severity of violations. In my hunt and peck searches, I have found more violations for Cordon Bleu, the tiny Vietnamese restaurant next to the Lumiere theatre on California near Polk, than I have found for any other restaurant. This includes a "major" violation for holding temperature on 6/8/02.
Has anyone else found anything interesting at this site?
