Restaurant/food records with no address

squid kun | Nov 18, 2009 11:26 AM

With so many new food providers that operate in no specific venue - as documented on Chow at http://www.chow.com/blog/2009/05/nyc-... among other places - the database needs to include businesses that lack an address.

Before the redesign, such records could be entered. Two examples are http://www.chow.com/restaurants/32701... and http://www.chow.com/restaurants/32709...

Now, however, the site doesn't allow this. If you try, you get an error message: "address fields needs to include address, city and state. Try to be more precise or check the spelling."

This came up deep in some other thread that I can't find at the moment. But there's been no acknowledgment of a problem and no change in the site, so I'm wondering if anyone with Chow agrees that this needs to be fixed.
