Restaurant Eve - report

Regular visitors to this board will remember a great review Joe H. provided to us of Restaurant Eve a few weeks ago - I won't be as detailed here. And then we saw Tom Sietsema's three star review in last week's Post magazine. Well, my wife and I had dinner in the tasting room on Friday evening. My short take: GO NOW! or, whenever you can get a reservation. I completely concur with everything Joe and Tom said. We had the five course tasting, great half bottle of Ridge Zinfandel, and left feeling that this was a HUGE deal for dining in the DC area. I especially loved the venison, but i have to say that absolutely everything presented to us was outstanding. Excellent service, very nice space, and we even got a first hand glimpse of how the staff in the front of the room deal with a problem (caused by a very late diner) - extremely expert.
