One Restaurant closing April 2nd

D R C | Mar 20, 201609:22 AM     3

Just received email saying that One Restaurant will close on April 2. The most recent incarnation was great fun while it lasted, arriving at just the right time after Magnolia closed, helping distract me from that loss by dazzling me with their great technique and "chops". Will always remember a hot spun sugar "peach" that arrived on the plate looking exactly like an art glass peach from Italy, and too many truly stupendous appetizers to count. We'd always go as a family and effectively order one of everything on the menu to share. Prices for the four-course menu had gradually crept up but even now, with $100-200+ dinners common, it was a bargain for what it was.

The last meal we had there several weeks ago while still good wasn't quite at the level I'd been accustomed to and we wondered if something was up.
