Gourmands and gourmets of northern Bucks should try the Richlandtown Inn in Richlandtown (Rte. 212, near Quakertown). It has recently come under new ownership and management ... and more importantly a new chef. I've had dinner there three times, and each time the entire meal was superb. I'm no food critic, but I know what I like. The last dessert I had there was creme brulle ... damn that was good, almost licked the dish! Salads, bread, snapper soup, seafood baked in paper, rack of lamb, fillet mignon, and desserts were all great and very fresh. The pricing is very fair ... even for north Bucks. The service has been good, and the atmosphere is adequate. The chef visits tables on slower evenings. I think they have a pianist on Friday evenings. Please patronize this place so it stays in business. Let's hope they maintain the quality.
