We will be spending a weekend in NO after mardi gras. I have been reading thru various posts and am now concerned that I might be missing out on something.
I have booked Stella! for Friday night. No hesitation there at all.
Was considering Cuvee for Saturday, but now have some concerns based on reviews on Citysearch, Zagats and trip advisor.
Was considering EAT and/or Cochon for lunches. (it's hard to get all this eating in and still be able to button your pants :)
We will be attending an art show that begins at 7pm Sat night, which we will be there until 8:30ish, so traveling out of the FQ might not be feasible on Saturday.
Was considering Feelings Cafe, but food is more imp't than romantic atmosphere.
Sunday I haven't found anything considered 'fine dining' that is open. If we decided on a Jazz brunch would CP or Arnauds be worth it? Any other suggestions?
Does anyone have any suggestions? It is my 5th time to NO, 2nd since Katrina.
Restaurant August was an idea, but mixed reviews and dining at Stella! the night before have made me consider nixing the idea, unless someone raves about it.
Have been to KPauls, Mr B's, Galatoires preK. Enjoyed Pelican Club and Lousiana Bistro last trip. Love the Bombay Club for dessert drinks.
Is there a good oyster bar in the FQ for a happy hr type environment?
Red beans and Rice for lunch on monday?
All suggestions are appreciated.
