Chow friends from California arrive tomorrow, so we've decided to try the new Ouest (at Broadway and 84th St., just a few blocks away.) 'Tho, being a party of 5, we could get only a 5 pm reservation! While I do like to eat early--this may necessitate an 11 am lunch. I trust this bodes well for Ouest's growing success. :-)
Anyway, I've read a couple of mag. reviews, a few Chowhound posts and some diner reviews on a New York City Restaurant Search site.
Has anyone been to Ouest in the past couple of weeks? Any comments?
By the way, Hal Rubenstein, in New York Magazine, wrote a rather well thought out review not just about the menu at Ouest--but the Upper West Side diners who frequent it. I'm certain he'll be getting some very mixed--and lively--responses! (Sorry, I don't have the link.) Did anyone else read what Rubenstein had to say?
