Report on new place in Cape May

Dee | May 1, 2006 10:55 AM

I went to Lucky Bones (Located in the former 1919/Anchorage building) last Thur. evening for dinner. It was quite busy for a Thur. eve. Ordered the Beet Salad with goat cheese and shared pizza. It was very good. The pizza is extremely thin crusted, which I like. Our waiter told us one of their pizzas is equal to 2 slices of pizza parlour pizza. Our group shared the Magaritta and the White pizza. The white pizza had cream, diced panchetta, caramelized onions and sage. Very delicate and subtle flavor. I recommend it as well as the Margaritta. We returned on Friday night but the wait for a table was one hour. It was hopping! By the way, they do not take reservations. We opted to go to the Harbor View on Ocean Road instead of wait. I was pleasantly surprized. Had the She Crab soup which tasted a bit of the rue but nonetheless was good. The chicken with roasted red peppers and swiss was very good. The oysters on the half shell were plump and fresh. Both are moderate priced places. Both places are somewhat noisy--gotta be in the party mood I guess!
