First, the best part. The smoked turket from GREENBERG'S in Tyler Texas arrived exactly on time and was the most delicious turkey we have ever tasted.
It is made with turkey, salt and spices and slow smoked. No nitrates, no chemicals, just pure, wonderful, luscious Texas turkey. We have had it as a main dish, and there are so many leftovers.
The price is super reasonable, and the people are delightful to deal with.
We immediately sent one to in-laws in Houston.
Turkey sandwiched on buttered brown bread... outstanding.
The great disappointment was ENSTROM'S toffee. Very ordinary, banal.Too much air and the chocolate covering falls off. The presentation is awkward and unappealing. Sheets of the stuff smashed into pieces.
Much prefer the excellent toffee from LI-LAC in the Village or at GRAND CENTRAL MARKET. Totally different, in small squares that are crunchy, solid and deliciously almond.
