Report: Joy Luck Place Cupertino 7/6/03

Arlene | Jul 7, 200305:42 PM     7

Six of us (Limster, Ruth, George, Ben, Arlene) had dim sum at Joy Luck Place, 10911 N. Wolfe Rd, Cupertino.

My favorites since it was my first time there were: chive dumplings, shao long baos, shrimp wrapped in fat rice noodles, chicken feet, chopped pork wrapped in fat rice noodles, baked egg custard buns, and peanut powder w/ black sesame goo.

Service was good early on, but later when it got busy we asked for ice-water numerous times and got ok, but still no water.

Overall: Good.

Total was $22 each person.
Hope others in attendance will chime in.

Future chowevent in Aug--South Taste Restaurant, 10825 N. Wolfe Rd, #220, Cupertino. In the same shopping center, looked very interesting-lots of Taiwanese dishes, $2-$5ea. Anyone been?
