Report on dinner in El Segundo

Thanks hounds for recommending a couple places in El Segundo from earlier threads -

Hubby and I went to El Tarasco on Main St in El Segundo for dinner. It's a cute casual place. The food was good, but not mind-blowing - I had a chille relleno and hubby had a dish that was small pieces of beef with eggs served with tortillas. They brought out the wrong dish at first, but gave us no grief about getting it fixed. The best part was the chips and salsa at the beginning - nice and light and crunchy. For two dinners and a soda it came to $18.

For dessert we had frozen custard at Lickety Split a bit further down on Main St. So good!! This is real frozen custard. I had the coconut flavor, and hubby had coffee flavor. The inside is decorated with retro red stools and checkered pattern floor.

There is a string of cute restaurants there on Main, and pretty much any cuisine you'd want, including vegetarian. As we try other places we'll report back.
