This ain't zakcly Nawlins Board but it seemed the onlt place to post.

So, I'm minding my own bidness up in Baton Rouge yesterday when my farmer friend from Pointe Coupee PArish shows up wiht a suitably grease-stained brown bag of cracklins. I thought that these must be (as he usually delivers) cracklings from Andres' on HWY 190. Mais non! These came from Bergerons's on LA 415 (Lobdell) between I-10 and HWY 190. It's in the strip mall north of Port Allen, east side of the road.

I've not been to the shop yet but these cracklings have some meat on 'em....this is important. Good stuff

A reminder......Smoked Meat Festivale in Ville Platte ---OK , Plaisance----holden not THIS weeken but the next!
