Replacing electric appliances with non-electric cookware

Right now I am more or less at leisure. Next month I start working as a US diplomat, which means that I may get sent anywhere in the world. Of course, vast swaths of the world do not use 110 volt electricity. So part of my preparing involves replacing as much as I can of my electric utilities with cookware that does not require electricity. That way I don't have to mess with transformers and different outlet configurations.

So I'm thinking of roughly equivalent replacements like the following:

Crockpot -> enameled dutch oven
Electric griddle -> A large skillet or griddle
George Foreman grill -> cast iron grill pan

But I know it's traditional for me to get somewhere and discover that I've forgotten something. And I also know I'm so spoiled by having small appliances that I don't really think about their non-electric predecessors. And depending on where I end up, it might not be easy for me to find cookware.

So what replacements would others make in their kitchen if they were replacing small appliances with their nearest equivalents that do not require electric power?

I'm hoping that this discussion will help me to think of things I'm forgetting in my own kitchen!
