Repeating the same topic ...

PaulF | Jul 25, 2006 11:49 PM

I do understand the philosophy that things change fast and not everyone reads the board every day so new threads on common topics are accepted and part of the chowhound milieu.

But what's the etiquette on starting a thread on a topic that is already the topic of a thread in the last few hours.

The other day on the LA board, there were three or four new threads all announcing the opening of a bakery called Susie Cakes in Brentwood. In several of the cases, the writer hadn't even been there yet, they were just excited that the place was open. Then a day or so later, there were several threads reviewing the goods at Susie Cakes.

Now, I'm not trying to pick on Susie Cakes or those who eat there. I'm really just trying to suss out the etiquette of multiple threads on the same topic all at once.

(Now, watch someone point out that this is the topic of several other threads. If it is, my bad, I didn't see them.)
