All the threads for this area seem very old, on a quick search. We may be having a houseguest in July/August 2017 and I'm thinking of a quick trip up to the Tahoe area.
We are not skiers, hikers, or drinkers, so we hardly ever go up there. Our houseguest is timid about foods; she's gotten comfortable with Vietnamese and Chinese, but not fond of Thai or Japanese. Pretty much American mainstream, no seafood AT ALL. We eat everything and anything, LOL, and there are no budget constraints on this trip.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Last time in Tahoe City last year we had a very good dinner at Jakes on the Lake. My pork with the asian pears was outstanding. Link to this trip report - things don't change too much up there so it is probably still up to date. We like the North end of the lake over the south end, and they are really too far apart to stay at one and dine in the other. https://www.chowhound.com/post/tahoe-...
