Reno Chowhound gathering Saturday, Oct. 18

Steve Timko | Oct 11, 200311:21 PM     4

After several false starts, we're going to have the Reno Chowhound gathering on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. at Kim Son restaurant in downtown Reno. This is on East Second Street between Center and Lake streets, across from Harrah's. There's a limited amount of free parking in the parking lot on Lake Street. They have the signs marked for Kim Son only.
Kim Son (I thought it was Kim Sohn) serves Vietnamese food and Chinese food, although I've never had their Chinese food. If you've seen others on Chowhound talk about the delicious Vietnamese soup pho (pronounced "fa"), I'll show you how to prepare it. I'm thinking we get something conventional and share an unconventional dish -- one item on the back of their menu is crocodile, for instance.
If you want to come, please email me so I know how many seats to ask for.

I'll be the big bald suspender-wearing guy.
