Reno Chowhound gathering 3 report

Steve Timko | Dec 15, 200311:15 PM

The group of Reno Chowhound fans met for a third time Saturday night at the Braza Grill on South Virginia Street in Reno.
This is a Brazilian grill. You get rice, pototates and a few other vegetables. Then they come around to the table with different meats cooked on skewers and slice it off or slide it off for you.
I'd say it was a good meal. There's a variety of meats. I was disappointed by the same of the flavor. Not just between the beef dishes, but even the pork, chicken and sausage tasted the same. I don't know if it's because they use the same sauce to cook it over a grill or why.
I liked the Brazlian sausage and the pork the best. The sausage is a cousin to linguica. The pork was tender and tasted the best with the sauce.
Of the group of seven who attended, six got dessert. I was the only one with mousse. It was well done. Everyone else enjoyed the flan.
The Braza Grill was a good meal. Something different. But I'm not sure I'd tell a fellow Chowhounder to go out of his/her way to eat there.
