Reminder Polcari's Coffee North End - Great Old Fashioned Dry Goods

StriperGuy | Dec 4, 201107:47 AM

Stopped in to one of my favorite stores in Boston yesterday.

Yes they have great coffee at reasonable prices, but all sorts of other good stuff.

My SO picked up English Breakfast and Earl Gray tea ($8 / pound vs about $6 per 1/4 pound at the supermarket). Both were so fresh we could smell them through the multiple bags on the way home.

Dried beans, Italian pasta, spices, Pandoro and Pannettone all at excellent prices. Marzipan pastry flour, etc. etc, etc.

Oh, and they have been in business since 1932.

Oh, also great prices on espresso pots and coffee grinders.

Places like this are why living in Boston is special and why Star Market and big box stores are not.

Nevermind you could not meet a nicer bunch of guys then the gentlemen behind the counter.
