Help me remember: semi-prepared gourmet meal delivery website?

nns | Feb 24, 200611:03 AM     5

When living in Washington, D.C. in 2000-2001, I remember using a service (they had a website, and I believe shipping was available nationwide) that delivered semi-prepared ingredients for a gourmet meal that you cook at home. For example, I recall duck breast served with a sauce/chutney and israeli couscous -- the duck breast arrived raw, so you could sear it yourself, the sauce/chutney was premade and only had to be heated, and all the ingredients for the israeli couscous were measured out, so you only had to cook the couscous and mix everything up.

If I recall correctly, this service was somehow affiliated with a couple of medium- to big-name chefs ... i.e., perhaps each dish was a classic for one particular chef. The ingredients and recipe were mailed overnight in a chilled container, and cost around $40 dollars for a meal for two. I cannot for the life of me recall the name of this service/website, and I would love to know if it's still around. Can anyone help me?
