I want to prepare my mashed potatoes now, or at least start them boiling.
Would I be better off just cooking them, and holding them unmashed or, should I go ahead, totally prepare them?
I know if I hold them unmashed, all I'd have to do is gently reheat them, mash them and add the warmed milk and butter. But if I go ahead now and prepare them completely, what would be the best way to reheat them without them turning gummy?
Obviously, I'd prefer to do it all now.
