Refrigerator humidity

Scooter Pie | Nov 11, 2002 10:18 PM

I moved into a new apartment a few weeks ago, and I'm not thrilled with the refrigerator. Food stored in sealed plastic bags or even already-opened jars seems to get moldy fairly quickly. Vegetables aren't staying too crisp in the so-called "crisper." This didn't happen quite so fast in the fridge in my last rental.

Any ideas how to cure this? I've played with the coldness levels, but if I crank it up too high, my beverages freeze. In a Web search, I've found some products that you can put into the fridge to decrease humidity. Anybody ever used one of these?

thx
