Reef Cafe going downhill?

Kip McSkipster | Jan 22, 2006 07:35 PM

I've been a fan of Reef since it opened, but I had an awfully underwhelming meal dinner there. I did takeout, just a chicken fattoush salad and a piece of baklava. The salad was literally 1/3 pita pieces, with 5 or 6 chunks of dry, cold chicken. The baklava was even more of a disappointment, since I've had some of the best baklava I've ever tried there. This piece, on the other hand, was neither light nor delicate - it had a thick layer of hard, chewy filo, and not very nutty. I'm not sure if it was merely stale (which is not exactly acceptable, either). Unfortunately, it was takeout, and I couldn't return to return.

That may have been my last visit...
