Redondo beach seafood

Thanks, first for the replies to my earlier post asking where to go between Thousand Oaks and Disneyland!! We ended up at Redondo Beach for lunch Sunday- thanks to the helpful posts regarding places to get the crabs-dumped-on-the-table style seafooding.
Just want to report that we had a great time picking out great oysters, soft shell clams (my favorites from the east coast!!!- the kind with the "foot" that you have to pull off the "sock"- so yummy!) and then we had some crabs. The European rock crabs were a little boring, Dungeoness were as usual.. I am spoiled by the best crabs in the world- east coast blue crabs.. But it is a great, albeit a little noisy and crowded, place to get food, stroll around the pier, enjoy the ocean view AND we met some interesting, all international people sharing our table (this was at Quality Seafood) Everyone was real nice and it was real cool to mix with so many different people (as opposed to the mono-cultured, mono-toned Ventura County...
Thanks everyone! I love this site
