I'll be away in Nebraska for two months on residency --does anyone know of any mail-order sites for miso soup (especially the red kind)? Instant packets are OK, but I would prefer the jars of real miso, to make soup from scratch. Thanks!
Miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning produced by fermenting soybeans with salt, fungus, and grains. The mixture is allowed to ferment for 3 months to 3 years. It's also sometimes called "miso paste" or "soybean paste."
