After hearing about this place from so many of you, I went a couple of days ago for my Fathers Birthday. 4 of us went and had a great meal.
spicey shrimp and tempura greenbeans were apps. shared among us. for the main course my father went with calves liver, the ladies both had the duck and I had the trout. Every dish was excellent. I had no more room but they tried the bread pudding for dessert and I was told that was excellent as well.
only two gripes and they were very minor ones. one it was very loud, but we were seated in the middle in the back and near a large group of 6 who seemed to have hearing issues as they kept speaking louder and louder as the evening went on (or perhaps the alcohol was talking). second gripe the tea was not hot enough and this I attribute to a eastern european upbringing where if the tea isn't served piping (read scalding) hot it's not correct. The tea was fine in my opinion, but I am considered blasphemous for thinking this way by my family.
The service was excellent, very attentive without being too overbearing. You can tell that the people here care that you leave with a good feeling about the place.
Do you know people like this, my mom and sister include the bathrooms as part of the worth of a restaurant but Red Cat passed this with flying colors again with points for both cleanliness and style.
In all thanks to everyone who told me about this place, as it will become a place I feel confident in recommending to others. And will go to again!
