I had a wonderful dinner Sunday evening at the Red Cafe. It's been open since around August but I never made it over there. Everything I had--salad, a fabulous first course of chicken livers over risotto, an amazing, old-style ragu over house-made paparadelle and dessert--were expertly seasoned and just a joy to eat. They're on Fifth Avenue between St. John's Place and, I think, Warren Street. Go!
