Southwest Steakhouse Reno

I never knew Reno was in the southwest . Anyway I have not been there in ages . I used to live nearby and Nevada was known for beef . So I'll be there for three nights coming up and was looking for a steakhouse . Not looking for a deal but would like a great piece of beef . Have car will travel . Thanks

Charlie Palmers Steakhouse inside the Grand Sierra Resort is excellent. Also Sterlings Steakhouse inside the Silver Legacy. We just had dinner there Friday night. Top notch service and really great food. It was very crowded so a reservation is a must.

I've heard good things about the Cactus Creek Steakhouse but have not been.

We have also enjoyed the steakhouses at Circus Circus and John Ascuaggas Nugget.

Cactus Creek in the Bonanza and the Western Village steakhouse both get strong recommendations. I have not eaten at either one, but last week I chatted with a truck driver from Canada who raved about the Western Village steakhouse.
I was not aware Nevada was known for beef.
A friend who runs a catering business loves the Washoe Grill, but I haven't been there in 15 years.

We have been to the Washoe Grill a few times. My suggestion is to sit in the bar. The main dining room is a little tired. The food is ok but I think they are known for the prime rib. My ribeye was just OK. I wouldn't rush back.
