Went for dinner the other night.
Serviceable restaurant but two standouts -
the gnocchi in pesto. These are the best gnocchi i've ever had. Not gummy at all, not "pillowy" these floated. I've heard that the chef (some top chef guy, can't remember name - someoen will post i'm sure) is from around Liguria and these were great. - I guess the saying is true, the ligurians know their pesto (and i'm not particularly fond of pesto, but this was amazingly good).
And the costoletta alla milanese. Some places will make cotoletta alla milanese or a wienerschnitzel from an escalope or other cut pounded thin. But in Milan and Vienna, i've had these dishes with BONE attached - they are veal chops pounded exceptionally thin. THe costoletta is HUGE - it's enough for two (esp if you get a soup or appetizer) and consider splitting. But wonderfully done.
The shortribs on polenta were tasty but not as great as these two dishes.
