Trying to recreate grandmother's chicken "cailalach" (meatball) recipe

KingsKetz | Dec 25, 201404:14 PM

When I was young eons ago my Russian born grandmother used to make something called chicken cailalach in yiddish. As best as I can remember it was chopped white meat chicken probably mixed with eggs and perhaps matzoh meal. The meatballs were poached in chicken broth with lots of onions and pepper and some carrots. They were absolutely delicious. She served them with rice. It's one of those things I never learned to cook. Has anyone else eaten a dish like this? Know how to make it or seen a recipe for it? All input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
