Southwest Phoenix Arizona Scottsdale

Hello- Perhaps I am failing at searching and finding only old posts so apologies here if that's the case. I am trying to find something new or unbeatable in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area for dinner in Sept. I am only coming up with old posts (might be me). We will visit Richardson's (because we can't help ourselves after all these years and all that great Carne Adovada) but we need a solid 2nd night's choice. I trust you guys!!! Any suggestions?

The PHXfn is much more active and serves the Chowhound niche for this area. Still, Happy to try, but helpful to know where you are coming from and what you are looking for. Romantic evening for two? Locavore bistro? Authentic American West experience? Family? And, if you are from NYC, SF, or LA, fuggedaboutit. Nothing here is going to knock your socks off.

There used to be a Phoenix specific board that would have been able to help you out a bit more. I agree with the other two posters about PHXfn. Unfortunately, I avoid the Phoenix area as much as humanly possible, so I cannot be of much help. Best of luck.

This is too late to help you, but just in case someone else wants to know...my kid moved to Scottsdale a few months ago and on my monthly visits we've managed to find a few good places so far: True Food Kitchen (it's not a date place, though); St. Francis; Bootlegger; Blue Adobe Grill in Scottsdale, Fogo de Chao. Years ago I liked Deseo, T. Cook's and Zinc Bistro, but it's been a while and I'm not how they've held up. It's too bad more locals aren't writing in - I'd love to know more about this area, too.
