Recommending Sora Lella

I've had three outstanding meals at Sora Lella in the past month.
The service is attentive and very friendly without being overbearing and the food is as authentic and well-prepared as Italian gets in New York.
Try the meatball appetizer, the rigatoni with pesto, eggplant parmigiana, lamb chops...everything my wife and I have had has been extremely enjoyable.
The wine list is a bit high in price and they seem to want you to stick to the Lazio region of reds (we normally gravitate to nebbiolo-based wines of Piedmont), but so far we've been very pleased with the wines we have had whether by the glass or bottle.
There is a happy hour, I think 4-7, with complementary tasty apps on the bar that is a real treat in the neighborhood for after work.
Lunch is 10% of the menu.
Try it while you can still sit outside, though inside or at the bar is very nice too.

It's on Spring St over near the Ear Inn off West Street.
