Anything recommended in Death Valley area?

Hello, chowhounders! My husband and I and our 17 year old are making a trip out to death valley. Staying one night in Tecopa (Looking forward to Steaks and Beer!) one night in Beatty and one night in Pahrump. Is there anything y'all can recommend for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Is it worthwhile stopping to eat at Death Valley inn? Anything I REALLY need to avoid? Thanks SO much.

Future reference for Death Valley itself - the legendary date bread and tea on the verandah of the old Furnace Creek Inn is filling and can ruin your appetite for dinner, which is good because the dining room at the Inn is not that good. Maybe the new make-over has changed things, but it was expensive way back when even when it was not very good - food and staff have to be shipped in so that does put limits on what they offer.

Enjoy the sunset on the grand hotel verandah, the views the date bread and hope you can slip into the huge fresh hot mineral pool as well before you leave the place as a day tripper (has a new name - Oasis or something- but it is the deluxe resort on the hill). Very expensive to stay there now. But the Inn is a hauntingly wonderful place to enjoy. 

Food at the Furnace Creek Ranch is cheaper but also not very good. Stick with the hamburger. Chili at Stove Pipe Wells cafe was pretty good. 

The crazy Mad Greek Cafe (all blue, white and pillars) on Highway 15 - somewhere in that same area when you leave Death Valley eastside to go South - legendary and actually pretty good - stick with the basics. And stock up on their packaged pita bread - quite tasty and good textured. Greek desserts very adequate too.
