Recommendations in Shinjuku (Tokyo)

Guy | Aug 17, 200503:25 PM     6

I am looking for an upbeat/fun place to have my one big meal in Tokyo. I am staying in Shinjuku and since i would like to go out after dinner i would like to stay in that area or maybe go to Shibuya. That said i'm looking for recommendations and price is no object.

I wanted to know if anybody has been to any of the Daidaiya restaurants in Tokyo? I'm particularly interested in feedback about the one in Shinjuku. Also looking for feedback on Ningyocho Imahan Banyo.

Since i will only have one night in Tokyo and will spend my day eating sushi and street food i want my night time meal to give me a taste of many other Japanese foods. I'm very eager to try the beef but given that i love sushi, it would be nice to have the option to order that as well.

Also, if there are any good places to go (on the cheapish) side late at night in the Shinjuku/Shibuya area, please let me know. Also looking for suggestions for night time activities (good clubs, bars, ect) since my goal is to deprive myself of sleep prior to my long flight back to the US.
