Recommendations for Shikoku

ChiVal | Oct 20, 201806:24 AM     4

Hi all, we're headed to Shikoku for two weeks in the spring and I'm hoping to get some recommendations for places to eat. We're interested in trying the local specialties. We prefer neighborhood restaurants over fancy high end places. We love izakaya especially those with a good sake list. My husband can read a little Japanese but we have no problem ordering using pictures on tabelog. We'll have no food restrictions and will eat whatever we're given. We will be visiting Kochi, Takamatsu, Tokushima, Uwajima, Ozu, Uchiko, Tobe, Unomachi, Marugame & Matsuyama. Any recommendations would be great! I've started researching Kochi and already have a huge list of good looking izakaya (and of course Hirome Market) so would love to know if someone has a personal favorite there. Thanks in advance!
