Recommendations in Prague and Berlin?

Hey everyone! Been combing these boards and other sites looking for recommendations, and for some reason nothing has quite stuck. Hoping a direct request will help!

I'm a twentysomething solo traveler from the US looking for a few restaurant recommendations in Prague and Berlin for late May of this year. I'll be spending 3 nights in Prague and then 3 nights in Berlin. In general, I love creative and modern approaches to food - but when traveling, like to make sure I mix in great examples of local cuisine as well. Not a picky eater. Will be dining solo, so $100+ for a meal would be a splurge. Wouldn't mind a splurge in each city, and keeping the rest of the meals to mid-range / affordable. Would like to avoid touristy spots!

Here are some notes for each city.

Prague - staying near the Riegrovy Sady in Vinohrady. Will be on foot, but more than willing to take public transportation for good food. Plan to be visiting many of Pivini Filosof's recommendations, as I'm a big beer nerd. Ideally would like to eat in places where the food is better then a typical pub, unless there are good places that combine good Czech microbrew with quality food. Also will be attending the Czech Beer Fest. Lokal is on my list for one night.

Berlin - aiming to stay in Kreuzberg / Friedrichshain. Again, tied to public transport / walking, but may rent a bike. Don't have anything on the list just yet, but good local microbrews is a plus (though good food will outweigh the drink, particularly in a classic pub environment!)

Thanks in advance for your help! Happy to provide additional info if needed!
