Recommendations for person with food allergies

kbeachy46 | Apr 8, 201807:14 AM     9

My wife is allergic to wheat, mustard, shellfish, nuts, and cloves. Although these foods create an anaphylactic reaction which requires drug intervention to limit her body's response, she has agreed to accompany me to New Orleans anyway. After reading many menus and reviews on line I have selected a few restaurants that look like they will work for our upcoming visit to the French Quarter at the end of the month. We will have no car so looking for dining recommendations that are easy to access by foot or Uber. Experience has taught us the server is just as important as the kitchen in ensuring a great dining experience. Even with our business card listing the allergens it can be tricky dining in new spots. Our favorite spots don't just "make it plain", they modify something she can't eat into something she can eat.

My looks OK for dinner list: Pesche, Pat O Courtyard, Irene's, Deanies, and GW Fins.

Oh yeah, we are traveling with a friend that doesn't do seafood. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
