I'm planning a trip to Manhattan tomorrow.
I was wondering if there were recommendations, food and otherwise. Below I have rough plans, although they would be subject to change based on superb recommendations.
We want fun stuff, not too pricey (both food and activities), mostly indoors (heard it might rain tomorrow).
Our rough plan is to get to New York around 11AM, catch something quick for a few hours(til 1PM?), have lunch, kill a few more hours, maybe quick snack, kill a few more hours, then dinner(around 9PM?), then do something else before leaving around 11, midnight, or therafter.
Is the Tribeca Grill's extension of restaurant week prix fixe at around $30 pp still active? that would be a good lunch if possible.
I think we're planning to try the prix fixe at the cafe at Aquavit for dinner. Any idea on its hours?
Soba-ya is an idea, been seeing interesting things on these boards about Craftbar and Ouest.
Maybe Otafuku for a snack of octopus balls and Japanese omelettes.
No other ideas on lunch.
On the killing time end, I've never been to either Met or MOMA, but don't necessarily have a desire. Maybe later, when I have a full week to devote.
Guggenheim and possibly either Whitney or Cooper-Hewitt interest me more. Going to check websites now.
Haven't been to WTC site yet, is there still an enormous line?
Thanx for any and all help.
P.S. Last time I was up, explored with Japanese and Eastern European bent
