Been researching all the usual foodcentric resources - Chow, Conde Nast, best of lists, Toronto press... We are a couple food loving and travel loving guys. We plan on being in Toronto August 29th until September 2nd. We have no dietary restrictions. I would like one splurge meal which could be a tasting or just a really nice meal. Also looking for what is unique to Toronto. It might be what you would call Canadian food. Also looking for ethnic places. Would like to have recommendations for moderate priced places and neighborhood places that serve great food. We are staying in the Danforth neighborhood and will have a car but plan mostly on public transit and Uber. With that in mind...
- We arrive early evening, Wednesday and probably won't make a reservation because we're not sure what time it will be depending on traffic. Would Globe Bistro be a good choice for that evening?
- Is Chiado worth it?
- How is Soufi's? Looks like a fairly focused and lovely menu
- Sorry to see that Boraline and Actinolate will be closed during our tip and that Black Hoof will be closing for good
- new places? has anyone tried Atlas or La Palma?
We are pretty open-minded and adventurous.
Thank you in advance. I always rely on the good advice of the Chow community
