I'll be visiting NYC for 10 days starting March 25th. I would appreciate any recommendations for must-eat restaurants, especially International food.
We normally live in New Orleans and Mexico. Good food in both places, just not a lot of variety. We have plenty of French, Creole, Cajun, Vietnamese, Barbecue, "Southern" and all varieties of Mexican, so we're looking for something other than that. We particularly love Thai, Indian and Sushi and kid-friendly places, although we will have a date night or two in there, so don't hold back on kid-unfriendly.
Though we would be interested in fine dining, our favorite restaurants are often "dives". We ate at a lot of the "fancy" places (Lucques, Sona, etc.) when we lived in L.A. Now we're looking for those meals that feel like you've stepped into someone's family kitchen.
Also, interested in any extra-special baked goods and/or cocktails recs.
Thanks so much in advance for all of your ideas!
